Chicago Art Glass &
Jewels has found a powerful niche for itself in producing (and
reproducing) the kinds of classical glasses found in the most
treasured of art glass creations from the turn of the century and
early twentieth century glass artists and studios.
Well known for their
Tiffany styled hand rolled varieties of flat glass, Chicago Art
Glass builds on that reputation with glasses that match the beauty
and quality of those used in works by Frank Lloyd Wright, and cast
glass items, such as tiles, jewels, pinch-backs, scarabs, icebergs,
and turtle backs.
Operating in Cedar
Grove, Wisconsin under the supervision of Ray & Debra Selk, Chicago
Art Glass & Jewels has put together a class repertoire of over one
hundred and sixty color combinations including opals, mottles,
granites, and rippled textures.
Their luster
and iridescent glasses enhance their working stock. Chicago Art
Glass & Jewels can reproduce some of the more obscure drapery and
herringbone surface textures. Recently, the company has put great
emphasis on their
Tile-Glas®,
a form of glass mosaic that can be used in residential and
commercial tile installations.
Chicago Art Glass &
Jewels exports to over 35 countries, with installations in famous
landmarks such as Frank Lloyd Wright's Dana House, Robie House and
Unity Temple, The Taj Mahal Casino, US Treasury (Chaise Suite),
Bergstrom Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum.
